What are the QR code and verification code, and how do customers check them?

Every fiscal document carries a QR and authentication code that prove it was reported to ZIMRA.

When ZIMRA accepts a document it returns a fiscal number, a verification QR code and an authentication code. PI Fiscal prints all three on the slip and the A4 invoice.

How a customer verifies a document

  1. Scan the QR code with a phone, or open ZIMRA's FDMS verification portal.
  2. Enter the authentication code / fiscal number if prompted.
  3. The portal confirms the invoice is genuine and was reported to ZIMRA, showing the seller, date and amount.

Why it matters to you

  • It proves compliance to customers, auditors and ZIMRA.
  • It lets VAT-registered buyers trust the document for their input-tax claim.
  • PI Fiscal stores the verification data with each document, so you always have the audit trail.
