What is PI Fiscal and how does it keep me compliant?

PI Fiscal is a cloud fiscalisation service for Zimbabwean businesses. Every time you raise an invoice or receipt, PI Fiscal signs it, submits it to ZIMRA's Fiscalisation Data Management System (FDMS) in real time, and returns a fiscal number, a QR code and an authentication code that your customer can verify. You do this from a web browser — there is no fiscal device to buy or maintain.

What the law expects of you

Registered operators required to fiscalise under the VAT Act must issue every taxable sale through an approved, FDMS-interfaced device, print the ZIMRA QR and verification codes on the document, submit the data to ZIMRA, and keep records. PI Fiscal is that interfaced device, done in software.

• Keep trading during outages — documents queue and submit automatically when the link returns.
